I know that the legislation has been passed on sports betting in Delaware, but when will the ruling actually go into effect? And is it just professional sports or will collegiate athletics be included?
Due to recent court rulings, sports betting will be strictly limited: parlay bets on winners of at least three NFL games only. Only NFL games. Only 3-game or more parlays. Only winners with the spread (no ‘first field goal in the second half’ type legs to the parlay).
The casinos are hoping to be ready to take bets by the first game of the season.

It’s limited to parlay bets on NFL games only, and no other sports. They tried to get single game betting going, but the courts ruled that this is a violation of federal law, and banned it. Betting on college sports is still illegal.

I live in DE and can’t stand Gov. Markell, who came up with this idea as a way to close the state’s budget deficit. He also tried to cut the state employees’ pay by 8 percent too, but that failed, thank Heavens.
