How do sports fans choose a team to follow for the rest of their lives?

So many people are die hard fans for whatever sports team of whatever sport they like. Some of the real nutters are huge fans of the worst teams out there. Why does a person choose a team, especially if they cheer for a team that always loses.

They live within or close to the city that team is stationed in. Some follow a team because they grew up with them / their parents are die hard fans. Others follow them because they jumped on a band wagon when they were once a good team and they felt they should stick with them. Others feel emotionally attached to one team. Many people have different reasons. I was one of the band wagon because I did not like my local teams. My team is horrible now, but I’m not going to be fake and switch to a different team. Sports teams need loyal fans.

Rudgwick is a small village in Surrey near Cranleigh and about half way between Horsham (West Sussex) and Guildford (Surrey). From Worthing catch the train to Horsham and then an Arriva bus route 63 (hourly); no bus service on Sundays

I’m a first timer and I took a bet. Miami vs new England pats. The thing said this with a box to check which one you think:

Miami dolphins (+10)
new England (-10)

I thought i took miami to win and they lost and I looked and it said I won the money I bet. What Is all this +10 and -10 stuff?

Obviously all sports carry a risk, but some are more dangerous then others. For example, rugby is a lot more dangerous then ballroom dancing.

How do college sports work in general? I say in general, because I do not have a specific college in mind. What athletic options would be available to a college freshman who was not recruited or is not on an athletic scholarship? Are they only limited to intramural teams, or what?

Also, is playing a sport in college (whether intramural or not) worth it? Any advantages?

You can talk to the coach of the sport you are interested in playing and see what their walk-on policy is. Find out what would be necessary to gain an athletic scholarship for that specific school.

Yeah they are checking your age to make sure that you are of age to gamble. 18 in most states. And the ID number is how they check it.
