hyper-emotionalizing?? thats a new word for me, I don’t really think I’m sufficently drunk enough to answer this question, which is saying a lot, because I’m pretty drunk right now!

Has Dwayne Johnson offered any comments in reference to The University of Miami Sports Scandal?

Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock went to and graduated from The Univeristy Miami and was a Defensive Linemen on the 1994 National Championship Team. This scandal happened years after Dwayne graduated, although he still keeps in touch with many friends and teammates.

Sadly, no. Those three basketball coaches are just stupid. Maybe in a few hours or days, The Rock will offer comments on the scandal.

im thnking about attending universrity in the uk or ireland. id like to know which university has the lowest fees for sports science or physiology or kinesiology? i’ll be considered "overseas" and not a home student because im coming from canada. thanks in advance everyone

Sorry, you are not going to be able to get someone here to give you accurate information. The fee structures are changing and you will need to go individually to each university to check but here are a couple of pointers that might help you;

1. Living in the UK or Ireland (note the use of capital letters) is terribly expensive. Choosing a university in a remote location will save you far more money than picking a cheap uni.

2. You really do get what you pay for. Studying at a lower ranked university to save £1,000 a year in fees may be a false economy. Take a look at the rankings here http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/universityguide

Does homeschooling give me a better chance of getting to play sports at a major university?

I have wanted to go to Michigan University since i was 5 years old. now i am going into high school and i am wondering if i should homeschool or go to public school. would home schooling give me an edge over kids from public school to get scholarships? would coaches think that i would be worse at sports if i am homeschooled?

That depends upon your sport. If it’s an individual sport that you can compete privately (like swimming and gymnastics) then homeschooling would allow you to have more time to practice. Otherwise, you should attend a public school which has a good team for your sport. That way recruiters will see you play. Either way, your studies are important so get as good grades as possible. Just being public, private, or home schooled doesn’t make a difference for most scholarships. Also, get involved in volunteering because that helps. Good luck!

I hear both have excellent programs, but which is better. I want to make the most money possible w/o being an agenet. So which will make me more money do u think in the long run? Also, about how much do you think i can make annually with that degree?

I am in the school of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Temple University which also has sport management and I can tell you its one of the best. I am loving it so much. The classes are great. We have to do internships and all of the professors are great, The school is not the big, and we are just like a big family. The programs is really good. You have the opportunity to gain a lot of experience. We have students working and interning at the Philly stadium, Eagles stadium and with the Flyers, also with Comcast spectator.They offer so many networking opportunities. Im actually on the Tourism side but take many classes with students from sport management. If you have any questions about Temple, or just the school, professors, classes just send me a message.

While I can’t give you any particular advice on this, I know that they organize a boxing tournament every year at Notre Dame — the Bengal Bouts. I believe that the money raised by this tournament goes to charity, but I’m not certain. You may want to get in touch with the folks who organize to see if they have any advice to share. Good luck.

Does the University of South Carolina have a better sports history than University of South Cali?

South Cali had most of its success in football and basketball when their teams played in sh1tty conferences and cheated all the time.

It had first Heisman winner to be stripped of a Heisman.

It also had a double murderer Heisman winner.

Well from all of this I could see the history in University of Southern California (fake USC).

I go to Univ. of Sout Carolina and we only have had 1 person to ever win the Heisman and we only have 6 Championships and only 1 is in football(from the early 1900’s)

Though I love my school and state…I highly doubt that we have better sports history than Southern Cal.

Sports Science at Hull University or Nottingham Trent University?

I am currently looking into going to study Sport & Exercise Science at university. I have two options for my first choice, Nottingham Trent and Hull. Both of the universities are offering me the course at 280 points.
If any sports students have any feedback on the course and their experience at either university, it would be appreciated.

Not from personal experience, but you need to determine what you want from a uni. Do you want to be in a big city (Nottingham is bigger and probably more diverse and lively) or a smaller place? Have you been to the open days of both uni’s? Only by actually visiting these places can you "see" yourself there or not. You can also speak to the tutors of the course and find out exactly what they offer. Also, all uni’s keep stats on what their previous students are doing doing ("Destinations"). This will give you an idea of how well students do at this uni and on this course and what they have gone onto do. You nee dto be objective with this, as if you listen to other people who have gone to each uni they will have either had a good or bad experience and this does not necessarily mean that you will have the same experience. Find out what you want from a uni and a course and then find out which one matches your preferences.
