Is online poker/sports gambling legal in Delaware, USA?

Posted by admin on January 23rd, 2011 and filed under sports gambling | 5 Comments »

I want to do some small gambling just for fun but I am on student visa and i don’t want to be in any legal trouble.

Online poker is perfectly legal for the end user in the U.S. with the exception of Washington state. The only illegal issue is for banks, and has nothing to do with us as individuals. So feel free to enjoy yourself.

If you have more specific questions regarding poker feel free to pm me.

Do you need a license to run a sports gambling site?

Posted by admin on January 18th, 2011 and filed under sports gambling | 3 Comments »

You need a license to run an online casino, but do you need a license for an online sports gambling site?

The answer is simple. I am in the US and run a few gambling websites. As long as no money is exchanging or bets taking place on YOUR site, it is 100% legal. As an affiliate I send players to a DIFFERENT website, to deposit money and that company pays me for sending them new players. But NO bets take place on MY website.. so its fine.

Example: I own http://onlinecasinos-usa.com

If you want to find out more about becoming an online casino affiliate, http://mcnallen.com is a great quick start guide.

How does one start an online sports gambling business? Would this be easier than an online casino business?

Great answers ‘top contributors’ but none of you answered the question… What if the query was purely hypothetical or for a school assignment? For shame…

Here is what you would need to do… Get a license to operate a casino in a country where such is legal. Then go to the casino software people (supposing you have chosen one… I would recommend wagerworks, microgaming, or rtg) and buy the software they sell and a license to operate such software….

You will need a large server with loads of hard drive space and a backup system… A couple phone lines, a stellar internet connection, and a backup, and a huge amount of cash in a bank account…

You will need a way to process the deposits ur clients make, might wanna start by talking to visa and mastercard, and quicktender or neteller as well…

And then all you need are the clients… Which might be tough because the market is supersaturated… But if u are fair and honest and pay ur clients quickly, there is room in the marketplace for you…

Last of all is of tantamount importance to ur integrity… You need hardworking, industry savvy, employees; a couple cashiers, a few customer service reps and at least one technical guru proficient in cpu stuff and more specifically capable of learning bout ur newly purchased software…

good luck

What effect does the shifting of sports gambling lines have?

Posted by admin on October 25th, 2010 and filed under sports gambling | 3 Comments »

Specifically, what happens if you place a bet on a team when the points line is -5, and then the line shifts to -6? Is your bet now based on -6, or does it stay on -5? Does this differ with money lines or other types of wagers (total points, etc.)?

If you made your bet at -5, you get the bet at -5.

You get the bet at the odds when you made it.

(This changes for horse racing, but not sports betting)

I used bodog for a while and it was a pain in the ass to get a payout. Are there any online gambling sites that have easier payouts?

Bob Akmens Sports: How To Win Betting Soccer – Part 2 of 2

Posted by admin on June 25th, 2010 and filed under sports gambling | 3 Comments »

Bob Akmens Sports @ http://www.basports.com is America’s #1-Documented Top Sports Handicapper with 163 #1 Contest-Category Finishes since 1978. Consider what we’ve accomplished so far just in the start of 2008: we’re the defending NFL handicapping champs of the U.S. (#1 in thesporteye.com NFL contest; #1 in thesportsmonitor.com NFL-sides competition — we led that latter contest for an unprecedented 7 straight weeks from weeks 6-12 with win percentages between 70-80%; in college hoops, we had a 50-17 run in totals; in the NBA as of 6/6/08, we’re first in the nation at both thesportsmonitor.com and thesportseye.com with a 33-14 NBA playoff record; in hockey, we just won our 6th-straight hockey contest – a #1-finish in 6 regular- or post-seasons in a row (see our site for details); and we entered the 2008 baseball season as the defending national handicapping champs, winning both thesportsmonitor.com and thesportseye.com baseball contests last season. And as of 6/6/08, we’re again leading the nation in baseball at The Sports Eye in both most bankroll-won and win-%. Absolutely no one in the sports service business has those short-term credentials – much less our record over the past 30 years. All of this is public knowledge – and not the usual smoke and mirrors you see. 99% of the time in this business guys toot their own horn (which usually is full of baloney). But you might want to take a look at a write-up we just got at one of the Net’s top-websites: about.com. One of the nation’s leading gambling-writers believes my horn should be tooted and so he has: http://sportsgambling.about.com/od/handicappingsites/p/bobakmens.htm. After reading that write-up, you can see that what I’ve said above is just a short cadenza on my part. In soccer we have a documented 20-4 record in World Cup plays at thesportseye.com – and realize that World Cup matches are nothing more than trying to pick a winner in an endless stream of all-star games. This is the second of a 2-part video-introduction to soccer betting. Watch both parts to become a winning sports bettor. And watch our other multi-part videos covering sports betting tips for football, baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer. Then come to http://www.basports.com and see how we can make you money! We’ve made hundreds of millions in profits for our thousands of clients worldwide since 1978. Why not be one of them and make money, too?
