Because he’s uneducated. It is a "big, fancy word" that he heard someone else use, so he uses it to seem smart to the fans. I personally would use, reliable, steady, work-a-day or consistent to describe his car, which is always running up front, which is great, except he beat Matt Kenseth yesterday. (damn you Matt for not taking four tires!)

I like to watch baseball and hockey on occasion. I have been a fan of the same teams for years. I also like to go to games when money isn’t tight. On the other hand, I have a few friends who are sports crazy. They watch ESPN Sports Center everyday and have those Satellite Cable extra sports packages. I think watching Sports Center is a bore. I mean, I am a fan of my teams but I do not know everyone on the team from year to year, nor am i sure when they are playing. I just like my teams and watch them at my convenience. My friends think ESPN and Sports Center is the most entertaining show in the universe, next to Fox Sunday Football. It really does not make any sense to me to want to know every stat of every player for every team and when they are playing. I have better things to do with my time. So why are people so addicted to this show?

You’re right it is not that entertaining. However, I love to watch it because I get to know every detail about what is going on in a flash. It is better than the Internet because they are allowed to have some stories on the air which can not be on the Internet. Also, they have the best analysts and get the best interviews.

I hate to say this, but I’m starting to miss the shows that used to just give you straight up sports highlights without the stupid puns, nicknames, rap references, etc.

Yes, I gaurantee you in some ESPN Corporate office, they are talking to the ever annoying Stuart Scott about wanting to attract more inner city kids. They tell him to listen to rap songs and try to fit in with the cool people at night clubs and play basketball in the ghetto to learn the new slangs.
