I like to bet on sports with my girls and my boyfriends buddies and I’ve been doing some research and found that one of the top ways to make money online was gambling and I’m pretty good at that but haven’t been able to find the right place online to do it any Ideas ?

Recently my friend started making ALOT of money with this system online. Yesterday was my first time looking at it and it seems AWESOME… So im pretty exited about it.

what is the age to bet on sports in ontario canada?

Posted by admin on May 23rd, 2011 and filed under sports bet | 2 Comments »

I know that at 18 you can buy lottery tickets… but I’d rather bet on sports because there is some skill in that… Is there anyway for an 18 year old to bet on sports in Ontario? Buying tickets in a convenience store? or goin to a casion? is it allowed?

You can bet on Proline at any Mac’s mart or other convenience store, BUT their odds are horrible when compared with offshore sportsbooks. The casinos in Ontario only offer Proline too, so you aren’t missing out on anything by not going there. I strongly urge you to use a reputable offshore sportsbook if you plan on betting on sports. I also suggest that you only bet on one game at a time, and make a budget for your betting…and stick to it. You will find independent reviews of only the most reputable sportsbooks at http://www.Sportsbook-Ratings.net Best of luck!

How to bet on sports outside of a casino in Ontario Canada?

Posted by admin on May 19th, 2011 and filed under sports bet | 1 Comment »

Is there even a way to bet on sports that isn’t through a casino? Like do convenience stores have a way to bet on them there?

Every province in Canada has a sports Lotto in which you can bet on sports. In Ontario it is called Pro-Line (http://proline.olg.ca/). However, it is very difficult to win at as they force you to bet more than one game and the odds – well the odds suck. No other way to say it other than they suck. Quite frankly it is a rip-off. If you are betting for fun I guess it is okay but if you are serious about sportsbetting you would be much better off using an online sportsbook. If you are looking for a good online sportsbook check out 5Dimes (A+ sportsbookreview.com rating). More info on 5Dimes here if interested: http://www.layitdownandwin.com/sportsbooks.html

I want to bet on sports with a proven money management system. Can someone help me get started?

Posted by admin on April 14th, 2011 and filed under sports bet | 2 Comments »

I want to try a strategy in sports betting because it seems like if you can stay disciplined and stick to a plan, then money can be made. I would like to hear some answers.

Search on "Kelly Criterion", "John L Kelly", "Edward O. Thorp", and "Claude Shannon".

It’s actually from the field of Information Theory pioneered by Claude Shannon and is the method by which bandwidth is maximized in digital telecommunication. Keep in mind that it depends on your estimate of the actual probabilities of winning be more correct than that on which the payout odds are based. This means that money management in itself isn’t enough but you’ll also need to set up a decent model to obtain reasonable probabilities or you’ll have to subscribe to a simulation service such as accuscore.com (which unfortunately the bookmakers probably subscribe to).

What percentage of people who bet on sports are profitable in the long run?

Posted by admin on April 12th, 2011 and filed under sports bet | 6 Comments »

Please include a link to an actual study on this if possible. My cousin seems to think he can win money sports betting in the long run. I would like to see stats on this

I really don’t think there’s ever been a study, but most individuals that are very knowledgeable with the sports betting industry will tell you it’s around 1%. Again, I have no evidence to back it up, but I would say it’s very close to that or even less. If you want to be successful at sports betting than it is at least a full time job. Trust me, it’s not easy and can be an emotional roller coaster that most individuals can’t handle.

For some free and unbiased advice, check out http://www.sports-betting-insights.com . We will tell you like it is and go over the good and bad. Most people believe the hype that so many touts and websites are trying to sell them on becoming rich over night. Obviously, that’s just not reality. I could go on and on, but you get the point.

Where can I bet on sports in Toronto?

Posted by admin on July 12th, 2010 and filed under sports bet | 1 Comment »

Can you bet in convenience stores or something? I plan on betting some money, not too much, maybe 50-100 dollars or so.

Pro-Line
Available at most convenience stores.

Do people mostly care about sports so they can bet on games? Are people caring less about pro sports?

Posted by admin on July 9th, 2010 and filed under sports bet | 1 Comment »

I have this theory that most people who care about sports are betting on games. Also, I’ve noticed that sports news is disappearing in general news sources. Are people starting to care less about pro sports?

I won’t answer to your question

Sports Betting. When is the best time to bet on a Sportsbook Straight Line?

Posted by admin on July 6th, 2010 and filed under sports bet | 3 Comments »

I know they fluctuate, and that the casinos become more educated about the game/match the closer it gets to game time… Is it generally true that you get the best odd (chance of making the most money) if you wager when the bet becomes available. I.E. try to be the first person to bet on the line? Does the number of people betting on the line, or which way they are betting effect the line?

I’ll see if I can answer each one of these questions. Here goes.

Is it generally true that you get the best odd (chance of making the most money) if you wager when the bet becomes available. I.E. try to be the first person to bet on the line? Not necessarily, it really just depends how the odds match up with what you think they should be (i.e. is there value according to your numbers). You may get the best odds at any time, however professional gamblers will typically try to bet the initial odds/lines ASAP if they are finding value. On the other hand, you might find the best odds right before game time. I guess what I’m trying to say is that there’s not a certain "best time" to get the best odds since they will continue to fluctuate depending on the market, up until game time.

Does the number of people betting on the line, or which way they are betting effect the line? It’s not necessarily the number of people, but rather the amount of money and who’s betting it. Public money (squares) won’t effect the line nearly as much as sharp money/professionals. More public money coming in on one team will slowly move the line throughout the day while sharp action can move the line immediately.
