Posted by admin on July 28th, 2011 and filed under sports university | 2 Comments »

I hear both have excellent programs, but which is better. I want to make the most money possible w/o being an agenet. So which will make me more money do u think in the long run? Also, about how much do you think i can make annually with that degree?

Temple

I am in the school of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Temple University which also has sport management and I can tell you its one of the best. I am loving it so much. The classes are great. We have to do internships and all of the professors are great, The school is not the big, and we are just like a big family. The programs is really good. You have the opportunity to gain a lot of experience. We have students working and interning at the Philly stadium, Eagles stadium and with the Flyers, also with Comcast spectator. They offer so many networking opportunities. Im actually on the Tourism side but take many classes with students from sport management. If you have any questions about Temple, or just the school, professors, classes just send me a message.

How does the payout work in sports betting?

I am new to sports betting and have started to make a few bets here and there. However I am confused with the way the pay line works. For example what does a payline on -205 mean for me? If I was betting $50.00 on phi who are -205 how do I determine the payout I will get?

Please help

If you don’t even know what it means, how can you possibly know if you’re making a good bet or not? Really – only around 1% of people who gamble on sports do so profitably over time. What chance do you have if you don’t even understand a line?

-205 means if you bet $205 you would win $100 profit. So you’d get back your $205, plus the $100 profit for a total of $305.

You can turn -205 into a decimal form to make it easier to find out how much $50 gets you. -205 is the same as the decimal form 1.4878.

Multiply $50 by 1.4878 and you get your total return. That’d be $74.39. So you profit a total of $24.39 on a $50 bet.

I am currently majoring in Physical Therapy and minoring in Sports Medicine.. My dream job would be to work for the University of Tennessee. Although before I get my hopes up, I just want to make sure that college sports teams have a PT on staff. And if they do, do they get free access to the games? Also do they have the same PT for all sports?
-Thanks!

most teams have trainers not PTs.

I’m obviously familiar with college varsity sports, but I keep hearing about intramural, intercollegiate, and club sports in college. I’d like to know what exactly these mean and what the differences are between them. Specifically regarding gymnastics, if possible. Thanks!

honestly, I have no idea. You should try to schedule an interview with a college coach to find out more about this.

My favorite is Bet365, but if you are from USA you cant play there, look at the section for US players http://www.gamblingsafe.net/usa-friendly-sites/usa-friendly-bookmakers.html
Where the best site for them is Bookmaker.

With sports bets, do you get paid based on the odds @ time of your bet or the odds right before the event?

Posted by admin on July 1st, 2011 and filed under sports bet | 3 Comments »

When the betting odds of a sporting event change, does your payout ultimately reflect the odds that you originally bet at or whatever the closing odds were right before the event? That is, does your bet stay fixed at the odds you’re initially given?

Thanks,
Brian

You get paid based on what the odds were when you placed your bet (regardless if they change for the better or worse).
