Ok, so my parents want me to play a fall sport as a freshman, they are trying to make me play football but im bored of it because i’ve played youth football for 4 years. They are threatening to put me in cross country if i don’t do football, What other highschool sports can i do besides football?

You’re right, football is boring. And no fun in the hot sun with 20 lbs of pads on. Do cross country! Now that is fun. Co-ed too! Hehe! Always fun to train with that cute girl!

I’ve never had much luck better, but I know that other people can make good money from betting on sports. I just dont know how I think.

I know that at 18 you can buy lottery tickets… but I’d rather bet on sports because there is some skill in that… Is there anyway for an 18 year old to bet on sports in Ontario? Buying tickets in a convenience store? or goin to a casion? is it allowed?

You can bet on Proline at any Mac’s mart or other convenience store, BUT their odds are horrible when compared with offshore sportsbooks. Every province in Canada has a sports Lotto in which you can bet on sports. In Ontario it is called Pro-Line (http://proline.olg.ca/). However, it is very difficult to win at as they force you to bet more than one game and the odds – well the odds suck. No other way to say it other than they suck. Quite frankly it is a rip-off. If you are betting for fun I guess it is okay but if you are serious about sportsbetting you would be much better off using an online sportsbook. Discuss and analyze the differences between using a professional sports team or an individual athlete as endorser of products. Give a few actual examples from actual sponsoring and the pro´s and con´s for different products. Comment on the “Tiger Woods” case and David Beckham as an endorser.

The only comment I can make about Tiger Woods is this – for obvious reasons I wound NOT use him.
I know the professional life and private lives of Pro Athletes are supposed to be kept apart, but how can anyone not bring up Tiger’s indiscretions?
If I was to use a Pro golfer I would go with the current champion.
I’ve never been into Soccer but David Beckham would be a great choice.

Personally I would go with an individual rather than an entire team. The biggest reason would be that not every member of the team would not support the product I was selling.
It is so much easier going with one person than a group. That would be my other reason.
I would NOT want one or more members coming out and saying they liked Dr. Pepper when I was pushing Pepsi.
If however they all signed a declaration that they did use my product and not go with another soft-drink company, then I might consider a team endorsement.
There are too-too many examples to go into. I do remember Kurt Warner endorsing a breakfast cereal with his picture on the box, but no other member of the 1999 Rams were asked to. That’s the year the Rams won the Super Bowl.
As I said, one person says it all as far as I am concerned.

Get the Big Ten Network it routinely shows Big Ten Lacrosse, Wrestling, Diving, Swimming, Gymnastics, softball, and some Hockey.

I am currently at college doing business and accounting, but after my first year I hate it. The only parts I enjoy are about marketing, PR and advertising.

However I have always loved sport and fitness and I am seriously considering changing to.a completely different course that could train me to be a personal trainer.

So which jobs in this area are well paid, and would I be able to use my knowledge of sports in the future in the area of marketing and advertising?
