I mean if we are talking about tennis or golf, then winning will be the best measuring of players.
In team sports, teams should be compared with rings but not players. Do you agree?
Not that they aren’t important, but they are not a way to compare players.
completely agree & i have always thtought this as well.
example: if tim brown was on the 49ers & jerry rice was on the raiders, would we be looking at jerry the same way & tim in a different way as well. their numbers & championships won or not won would obviously be different. you could make that argument for any player in any team sport.
What part does team sports play in the psyche of "homo sapiens"? Won’t you say that team sports in the best medium to keep delinquency at bay? Doesn’t sport reveal that attitude is more important than aptitude.
Q1: Team sports does teach people how to interact with each other in order to reach a common goal.
Q2: It may help keep delinquency at bay, however I doubt that it should be labeled the "best medium".
Q3: I don’t think that this is necessarily true. There are many cases where the more athletic team beats a team with a better attitude.

I am currently looking into going to study Sport & Exercise Science at university. I have two options for my first choice, Nottingham Trent and Hull. Both of the universities are offering me the course at 280 points.
If any sports students have any feedback on the course and their experience at either university, it would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Not from personal experience, but you need to determine what you want from a uni. Do you want to be in a big city (Nottingham is bigger and probably more diverse and lively) or a smaller place? Have you been to the open days of both uni’s? Only by actually visiting these places can you "see" yourself there or not. You can also speak to the tutors of the course and find out exactly what they offer. Also, all uni’s keep stats on what their previous students are doing doing ("Destinations"). This will give you an idea of how well students do at this uni and on this course and what they have gone onto do. You nee dto be objective with this, as if you listen to other people who have gone to each uni they will have either had a good or bad experience and this does not necessarily mean that you will have the same experience. Find out what you want from a uni and a course and then find out which one matches your preferences.
I need to find a specific person from an unknown year (most likely in the 70’s), at an unknown college (possibly in ohio). I do, however, know that the sport was women’s tennis, so that may narrow down the possibilities a little. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get started on this seemingly monumental task? Please help.
Thanks in advance,

Try college tennis on line:

Or the NCAA website

Good luck!
I really enjoy betting on sports, but I have a problem. I am addicted to the blackjack in the online casino that my two sportsbook have. Does anyone know of a good online sports betting website that has no casino in it???
Yes. Definitely there are online betting sports sites available in the web that do not include casino. You can try www.sportsbetting.com.au …It is the first online bookmaker site being legalized in Northern Territory government. With Sportsbetting.com.au, you are assured of (financially) safety betting.
Which one is harder to get a scholarship to college for, sports or music? And how hard IS it to get a scholarship for sports? Music?
That may be like asking, "how loud is music?". There are SO many variables that effect the answer to your question. Are you looking at Division I, II or III schools for sports? What instrument do you play? How talented/athletic are you? How are your grades? Are you looking for a full ride or just something small?
For sports, Division I & II schools can offer athletic scholarships, while division III schools do not.
If you play a unique instrument (like the bagpipes, for example) you may get a scholarship to a college like Wooster who is known for their bagpipe band.
If you’re an absolute stand out goalie star in soccer, you may be able to find some money to play.
my husband has a soccer player who plays defense, is on an ODP (Olympic Development Program) team and has spectacular grades and references, and right now she has been offered a scholarship that will cover just housing & books by a couple of schools.
Hope this helps!
I want to be a sports medicine physician when I get out of high school and college and I can not find a university in Louisiana that offers a program. I was looking at ivy league colleges, like Harvard, but it’s soooo expensive.
Information is below.
I want to take Sports Psychology in university, i was wondering if anyone knows what courses I need.
I don’t know if it matters but I plan on going to a Canadian University.
If you want to take that you probably just need 4U english and 4 or 5 other 4U/M courses depending on what province you’re in. An exercise science may help but I’m not sure. I may have heard that you have to get your undergrad BsC in Psychology then go to grad school and get your masters in Sports Psychology.
I’ve always wondered, how come the New York Metropolitan area does not have any major Division 1 College’s along with College Sports teams just like L.A. has USC and UCLA. Is New York just a Professional Sports team town? Pro teams are private institutions that can be moved at the whim of the owner,
The universities are permanent parts of the community with a built in fan base – students, alumni, parents and staff.
I believe Chicago does not have any Division 1 Colleges either right?
how come no D-1 College Football teams?
For one thing, the D1 colleges have HUGE campuses and there’s simply no room in the city to have one the size of USC or UCLA. Most of the colleges are small community colleges.
To the asshole below me: I wasn’t saying that there’s none there because it’s a big city. There’s none there because there’s no room for a large campus. Even second rate schools like Boise State have huge campuses.
